Online poker website, Full Tilt Poker has announced that professionals Dermot Blain, Martins Adeniya, Sinem Melin and Ben Jenkins will all be joining the brand as special ambassadors for the United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT).
The sponsorship deal with Dermot Blain and Martins Adeniya shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as both players have proved themselves on the European Poker Tour circuit, earning around $2 million in live tournament earnings between them.
Jenkins and Melin have also enjoyed success so far in their poker careers. Sinem Melin reached a final table at the Brighton UKIPT Main Event in 2011 and Jenkins has put in impressive performances on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour.
The four players will assume their roles alongside the existing Full Tilt Professionals, Viktor Blom, Tom Dwan and Gus Hansen, with immediate attendance at the Full Tilt- sponsored UKIPT event. The UKIPT is currently underway in Galway, Ireland, which is the first Full Tilt Poker-sponsored UKIPT event. UKIPT Galway will host 60 different events between 27th July and 12th August 2013.
Full Tilt Poker was acquired by PokerStars parent company, The Rational Group, and re-launched in November 2012. The announcement of new Ambassadors is a positive sign of the brand growing and is the first sign of sponsored activity since Hansen, Blom and Dwan joined the site in the late part of last year.
