The ‘Cars 2’ actress – who has children Sam, seven, and 18-month-old
May with husband Alessandro Nivola – wants to buy a car but her spouse
has suggested she stay off the roads because her abilities behind the
wheel are limited.
She said: “My first car was an old Saab. And then I had a BMW that my
father-in-law joked he needed tetanus shot to get into because it was
just so full of old half-eaten sandwiches and bits of coke cans and
things.
“But my husband doesn’t allow me to drive anymore because I’m very unreliable.
“We live in New York and my husband refuses to get a car because it’s
just so nightmarish parking and I’m desperate for a car. I don’t know
why, I just really want one.”
The 39-year-old star recently borrowed a vehicle from her friend to
prove to her husband she could cope, but admits it turned out to be a
disastrous move.
She said: “I borrowed a friend’s car when they went on holiday to
prove to him it would be fine and within the space of a morning, I got
three tickets and when I drove past into the back of another car the
number plate fell off so I had to take it to a garage.
“The same time, I got ticketed for driving while I was on my phone,
driving without a seatbelt and then for parking in the wrong place. So
yes, I’m banned from driving now.”

Saoirse Ronan would "love" to work with Quentin Tarantino.
The 17-year-old actress – famed for her roles in ‘Hanna’ and ‘The
Lovely Bones’ – thinks the ‘Kill Bill’ filmmaker will be a great
person to collaborate with on a movie because he seems like “fantastic
fun”.
She said: “I haven’t worked with him, but I’d love to. I’ve talked to
people who have, and they all say he’s made and that it’s fantastic
fun.”
The Irish star particularly likes how Quentin works with an ensemble
cast of actors on a regular basis, allowing them to know exactly how
to bounce off each other.
She said: “Because he tends to work with the same actors every now and
again, they can read each other.
“There’s always such an ensemble feeling in his films, too. In ‘Kill
Bill’, for example, of course Uma Thurman is the star but it really
feels like a group effort.
“He’s often in his own films, which I think is great; he’s so
different looking with that amazing face.”
Kim Cattrall Fine with Age
Kim Cattrall has “no desire” to look like she is 20.The 54-year-old actress – best known for playing Samantha Jones in ‘Sex and the City’ – would rather appear “healthy” and of her own age as she has no desire to reclaim her youth.
She said: “I had a great time in my youth and still feel very youthful, but I have no desire to look as though I’m 20. I want to look healthy, but I want to look closer to my age.”
Kim also admitted she “doesn’t believe” in cosmetic surgery because she is worried about something going wrong if she went under the knife.
She added in an interview with Reveal magazine: “I don’t believe in cosmetic surgery, well, not yet. I’d be too frightened. There are so many examples of things that have gone horribly wrong. I live in New York in an area where it is all around me.”
While she is aware she will always be associated with ‘Sex and the City’, Kim is proud of the show because it helped changed women’s attitudes to sex.
She said: “The show had a hand in changing people’s ideas of women and who they are as sexual beings.”
Daniel Radcliffe wants a tattoo.
The 21-year-old actor admits one of the good things about the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise – in which he has played the titular boy wizard in all eight movies – coming to an end is that he can have some body art as he was previously unable to do so because of his commitment to the film series.
He said: “I definitely do want to get some tattoos, something that would have been ill-advised during Potter.”
During his time out from filming the ‘Harry Potter’ movies, Daniel starred in a stage production of ‘Equus’ in both London and New York, in which he had to strip naked.
While he insists he doesn’t mind baring all for a role, the actor admits it was a “terrifying” experience.
He told Britain’s Star magazine: “It’s like, ‘Put it away, Dan!’ I really don’t mind anymore. I performed ‘Equus’ well over 300 times.
“I still had the fear every night though, absolutely. I hate all these actors who say it’s liberating. That’s rubbish, you liars, it’s not liberating – it’s terrifying!”
Anna Friel will "always love" David Thewlis.
The ‘Pushing Daisies’ actress – who ended her 10-year relationship with the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ actor late last year – is now dating ‘Notting Hill star Rhys Ifans but admits she will always have feelings for her former love, with who she has a six-year-old daughter Gracie.
She said: “We were together for 10 years and I’ll always love him very much.
“He’s a dear, dear man and we’re great parents. He’s always got his eye on Gracie, as have I.”
Following the cancellation of ‘Pushing Daisies’ in 2009, Anna has moved back to the UK and loves the fact having a permanent base in Windsor, Berkshire, South East England, has allowed her and David to give Gracie stability, despite the upheaval in their personal life.
She added in an interview with Stylist magazine: “Gracie’s got that stability and as far as the break-up goes, she’s unscathed by it.
“We juggle it and Gracie is always out biggest priority and I think that’s all I have to say about that.”
Beyonce Knowles blows "snot bubbles" on stage.
The 29-year-old singer – who is known for her sexy dance routines – finds her sets often don’t go quite as planned due to her runny nose, leading to bubbles forming when she can’t blow it.
She said: “My nose runs a lot and when I’m singing I can’t blow it, so there have been occasions when I’ve ended up with a bubble coming out my nose.”
Beyonce’s nose is not the only problem on stage – the ‘Girls (Who Run the World)’ hitmaker confesses she needs to have wind machines blowing air around her constantly because she is a profuse sweater.
She added: “Everyone thinks I have fans because I’m being fashionable, but I work so hard on stage if I didn’t have them I’d be dripping.”
In addition to sweating and excess mucus, Beyonce – who is married to hip hop star Jay-Z – also finds she no longer likes her feet due to the stress she has put on them from dancing in heels.
Speaking on a TV show set to air on ITV in the UK in December, she said: “If I could change one part it would be my feet. After all the years dancing they’re a little beat up. And I wear big earrings because I don’t like my ears.”
However, her foot problems did not stop Beyonce spending £9,000 when she took a trip to London’s Oxford Street earlier this week.
A source who saw her shopping said: “It was like that shopping scene out of the film ‘Pretty Woman’.
‘Everyone was gobsmacked by the speed she was choosing clothes. When she hit the shoe section she picked up even more speed. The woman clearly loves footwear.”
Lady Gaga would give away "every dollar" she has if she could.
The ‘Edge of Glory’ hitmaker – who is estimated to be worth $112.8 million – explained being wealthy and gaining worldwide recognition was never something she aspired to, and she would be happy to give it all up.
Speaking in Sydney as part of her ‘Monster’s Ball’ tour, she said: “Money and recognition were never a driving factor for me. I was driven by recognition by showbiz.
“What does come along with showbiz is recognition, but the money goes right back into the show. If I had to give it all away, every dollar that I’ve earned, I would.”
However, the 25-year-old singer might not have so much cash to splash in the future, as she recently claimed her tour had “bankrupted” her.
She said: “I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the ‘Monster Ball’. And it was funny because I didn’t know!
“And I remember I called everybody and said, ‘Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five number one singles’ – and they said, ‘Well, you’re $3 million in debt.’ “
Rihanna is still good friends with ex-boyfriend Matt Kemp.
The baseball star and the ‘California King Bed’ singer split last December after an 11-month romance but the handsome athlete says they have a “good relationship” and are still supportive of each other.
He told Us Weekly magazine: “She’s a good friend of mine. We’re good.
“There’s no bad blood between us.
We’ve all got busy lives and we’re working on our careers and concentrating on our careers. Like I said, I wish her all the best of luck and she wishes me all the best of luck.”
Rihanna and Matt split because they were struggling to find the time to see each other and the Barbados-born beauty had admitted they were feeling the pressure of making a long distance romance work.
She said: “It’s really difficult because we are so far from each other most of the year and we both have very demanding schedules, it gets difficult at times but it is what it is.
“I’m in love and I’m very happy but we have only been dating for a few months so no wedding for now, we are taking it easy.”
