Lindsay Lohan: Black Swan role should have been mine

Lindsay Lohan claims she should have had the lead role in ‘Black Swan’.

The 25-year-old actress has reportedly spoken of her frustration that Natalie Portman was handed the part of ballet dancer Nina Sayers who descends into madness preparing for a production of Swan Lake – a role that earned her the Best Actress Oscar – insisting her own dance training made her ideal for the part.

Plum Miami magazine writer Jacquelynn Powers reports the actress told her she did “ballet until she was 19 and was indignant that she was not considered for the movie ‘Black Swan’.”

The troubled actress – who was recently freed from a 35-days house arrest, which she served in lieu of jail time after taking a necklace from an upmarket boutique store and violating the terms of probation set for her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) – had refused to give an interview to accompany a photo shoot she did for the publication, and the magazine instead accompanied the images with an account of her difficult behaviour.

As well as costing the magazine $100,000 after turning up late, sending the shoot into overtime, she also refused to vacate the hotel room which the publication was paying for.

Jacquelynn wrote: “Monday morning was supposed to be check-out time, but Lindsay and her posse refused to leave. It was like watching the lights come on at a nightclub after-hours – not pretty.”

They also reported she was argumentative, drank wine while speaking about being alcohol-free, and insisted on cleaning a stripper pole before she would pose with it.

A photographer on the shoot commented: “She has a dangerous element to her presence. You never know what’s gonna happen in the next two seconds. Is she gonna bite you?”

Tom Ford to show at London Fashion Week

Tom Ford is to show at London Fashion Week for the first time.

The designer is to showcase his new collection at 6pm on Sunday, September 18, unlike last season where he opted against a formal catwalk presentation in favour of intimate appointments with key members of the press.

Other designers to show for the first time at the British Fashion Council’s event include Teatum Jones – who will present their spring/summer 2012 collection on opening day – and Peter Jensen, who returns from a stint at New York Fashion Week.

Matthew Williamson, Giles Deacon, Burberry Prorsum, and Temperley London are among the other designers and fashion house who will present their new collections during London Fashion Week.

As well as showing at London Fashion Week for the first time, Tom is also preparing for the release of his first cosmetics collection.

Tom Ford Beauty’s first Cosmetics Collection – a complete range of make-up, skin treatments and luxury brushes – will be on sale in selected stores from September before a widespread launch in October.

Tom Ford Beauty President Caroline Geerlings told The Moodie Report: “The Tom Ford Beauty Collection was designed with the very discerning global luxury consumer in mind, and will only be available in highly-selective points of distribution.

“As this luxury consumer travels the world, the travel retail channel is an ideal way of connecting with her.”

Chris Colfer discovered Glee axe on twitter

Chris Colfer found out he was leaving ‘Glee’ through twitter.

The actor – who plays Kurt Hummel in the TV musical comedy – claims he only learned he and co-stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith wouldn’t be returning after the third series on the social networking site.

He said of the axing: “I found out yesterday on Twitter. Yeah, I found out that they made that announcement. I didn’t necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year, I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can’t be there forever. I don’t necessarily want to leave so soon, but I mean, it’s fine.”

Although he will be sad to go, Chris will look back on the show with great pride.

He said: “It’s what it is. And all things come to an end. As a performer, I feel so fulfilled. I have two Emmy nominations and just from hearing from people out in the world about how much the character has helped people. If it’s time for a conclusion, I’m fulfilled with it, and I’m fine with it.”

Speaking about the decision creator Ryan Murphy – who insisted more characters will leave than stay – said: “We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea. They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top.”

Cory wasn’t consulted about the decision, but Ryan explained: “He knows he was a sophomore when the show started.”

Daisy Lowe to pose naked for Playboy

Daisy Lowe is set to appear naked in Playboy.

The 22-year-old model – who has previously posed for fashion publications Vogue and W – will strip off in an eight-page spread in the September edition of the iconic men’s magazine, which is set to be released on August 12.

Daisy – who is currently dating ‘Doctor Who’ actor Matt Smith – will travel to editor Hugh Hefner’s famous Playboy Mansion for the photo shoot.

The beautiful brunette – who is the daughter of musician-turned-designer Pearl Lowe and Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale – previously posed topless for the 2010 Pirelli Calendar and admitted she found the sexy shoot liberating.

She said: “It was quite freeing, being able to be naked for a week.”

Daisy has previously explained being “sexy” is a “big part” of her identity, and she believes it is empowering for women to be in control of their sexuality.

She said: “I suppose I’ve been very in touch with the ‘sexy’ thing since I was 15.

“I guess it’s a big part of my identity, something that I have learnt to switch into. It’s because I’m a girl’s girl. I’m not the bitchy girl who’s trying to make your boyfriend fancy me. The only reason I ever ‘do’ sexy is because I like to encourage women to feel sexy about themselves.”

Renee Zellweger dating Stamos?

Renee Zellweger is reportedly dating John Stamos.

The Oscar-winning actress – who split from Bradley Cooper in March – and the former ‘Full House’ star were spotted enjoying a romantic trip to Disneyland in California on Monday (11.07.11) and onlookers say they were smitten with each other.

On told Us Weekly magazine: “They looked really close and both very happy. They were trying to stay under the radar but were having a great time laughing and dancing as they walked from one ride to another.”

Renee, 42, split from ‘The Hangover’ star Bradley in March after dating for almost two years, leaving many people surprised as it had been reported they were set to wed.

Renee has also dated Jim Carrey and Jack White while she was briefly married to country singer Kenny Chesney, a union which last less than six months.

John was married to actress Rebecca Romijn for 10 years, although they split in 2004 and she went on to marry Jerry O’Connell, with whom she has two-year-old twins, Charlie and Dolly.

Kate Hudson names son Bingham Hawn

Kate Hudson has named her new son Bingham Hawn.

The actress and her rocker fiance Matt Bellamy welcomed their little boy into the world on Saturday (09.07.11) and while his moniker was initially kept under wraps, the Muse frontman has now announced it.

Writing on his twitter page, he said: “So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham ‘Bing’ Hawn Bellamy. Mum and baby are strong and healthy. Mum was a warrior, Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!”

While it is not known where they got the idea of Bingham from, it is thought the tot’s middle name pays homage to Kate’s mother Goldie Hawn.

Following his birth, the couple asked for “celebration trees” to be planted for their son, just as they did at Kate’s baby shower.

Matt and Kate – who has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, with ex-husband Chris Robinson – plan to spend the next few weeks at the rocker’s London home while Muse record a new album.

Funda From Made in Chelsea In Cosmetic Surgery Ad?

Frost isn’t entirely sure, but as we were flicking through our issue of Glamour magazine we saw a cosmetic surgery advert in the classifieds that looked suspiciously like Funda from Made in Chelsea. A women who looks exactly like her is holding up a sign saying;”I’ve just had my breasts done, but the biggest change you’ll see is on my face.” Hmm.

Ever since we noticed the advert had been in a lot more magazines, not just in the classifieds and in a bigger ad space. Coincidence? Let us know what you think.
