Baby, It’s Wet Outside.

There has been torrential rain in the UK lately but apparently we are still in a drought. Anyway, while it is still droughting cats and dogs you may want to invest in some of these chic raincoats Frost has come across from the Cambridge Raincoat Company.

Water resistant, stylish, chic and ultra practical, the raincoats produced are sure to keep you protected and fashionable in all conditions. In the rain they’ll keep you dry, in the summer the breathable fabric will be a wave of fresh air. They are available in a range of beautiful colours to get you noticed and to brighten up any day.

Designed for commuting cyclists to be able to dress for their journey as well as the destination, the raincoats keep you dry from neck to knee, making sure that you avoid the disheveled and slightly distressed look that can occur en route. They really are the perfect answer for any occasion, cyclist or not.

I love the lining, the colours, the concept and just how unbelievably chic they are. I want one in every colour.

Eskimo PR Brand Watch.

Sam Edelman: classic and quirky shoes. According to Frost writer Keshini Misha, Sam makes the best Chelsea boots.

The Pretty Dress Company.

Female figure loving dresses. Inspired by the glamorous females of the 1940’s and 1950’s. They hold in, push up and hug curves in all the right places. The name is accurate too, the dresses really are pretty.

I got a free tub of sweeties from My Sweetie Jar. Brilliant sweets. They offer a customisation service. Go to www.mysweetiejar.com if there is anyone you love enough to get some of these for.

BlackDressHQ sells nothing except beautiful and classy black dresses. I reckon Amanda Elisach would love this site. It was born because of the need to bring gorgeous Little Black Dresses all in one place. Gorgeous self- indulgence.

Prey of London. Luxe-rock inspired brand. Brilliant, edgy clothes. High end designs at mid market prices.

Simmi. Love your shoes.

Mou

POP Handset. It reduces radiation by 99%.

Chinese Laundry.
Brilliant shoes and accessories.

John Varvatos. Casual Luxury and rock’n’roll come together.

Sorel A classic brand. They have been making great footwear since 1962

Doll Boutique. Online retailer with a great range of brands. One-stop shopping heaven. Started in Glasgow in 2007, founder Arielle Shear felt that Glasgow was in need of something different from either high street or high-end designer fashion, but something in between, now we all have it at Dolls Boutique. Fresh, new, reasonably priced brands that are better quality than the high street.

D.L & Co call themselves Purveyors of curious goods. LA native Douglas Little aimed at bringing opulence and beauty to those who yearn for the uncommon and exquisite; and has managed beautifully.

See By Chloe. Sophisticated footwear. Just beautiful.

Vestry is dedicated to bring the latest trends. There are dresses to impress galore at the Vestry Online. Dresses start at £30 and their best-selling jeans are priced at £30. The Vesty used to be a major high street brand name but are now just online, and as popular as ever. Their site is full of beautiful clothes.

Moda in Pelle. A brilliant on trend footwear company. I love their country chic shoes, as well as power dressing, the affair and The Orient Express. Moda in Pelle have also launched a new range called Luxury Revel, it aims to create a ‘bridge between luxury shoes and accessible accessories’.

Juicy Couture. Needs no introduction. This LA brand’s new season range is more polished and put together says LeAnn Nealz, Juicy Couture CCO and Co-President. “I spend a lot of time travelling between London and Los Angeles, which got me thinking about this concept ‘LA Loves London’ – everything from Anita Pallenberg to T-Rex and Joni Mitchell”.

Soludos: Comfortable unisex shoes.

I personally really love the Brigitte Bardot range. She is a style icon who has really inspired me.

Get Lisbeth Salander Style

The catwalk may be a sea of pastel colours and grown up, Mad-Men-style clothes, but, really, who wants to conform? Certainly not Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

The piercings, the tattoos, the incredibly cool hair do; she certainly strikes out on her own. She wears a lot of black, vests, hoodies, black trousers. She has a touch of goth but she is very striking. If you are feeling daring in time for summer, get her look.

Chase PR AW12 Press Preview: Brand Watch

I went along to Chase PR’s press preview. They have some brilliant brands and I picked out some brands to watch.

Butterfly Twists. This are great fold-able shoes and boots. Perfect to have in your bag to whip out when the heels start to hurt.

Daniel Hechter – Crease proof tailored suits. A brilliant idea. A range for travellers and commuters.

Sebago shoes. Most of the brands are using the patriotic colours of red, blue and white for the Olympic/Jubilee year. Sebago have a great new range of shoes.

I love Cat footwear. They also do heels and boots now.

These glasses go dark in the sun and become sunglasses – so cool.

Storm – the only British watch brand. They do great watches and jewellery.

Energie have some great colourful jeans and Christmas type jumpers.

Gok Wan also has a new line of shapewear out.

Red or Dead have great clothes – lots of lace- and some really awesome shoes. Including some green sequined ones. I like!

Miss Sixty. A lot of clothes have a grown-up vibe. Influences from Mad Men and Pam Am. There is a definite vintage vibe. As well as coloured denim.

Patagonia

Bright, coloured waterproof coats.

Geox has a brilliant range of breathable shoes. They stop your feet getting too hot.

And of course...Paul Costelloe. A designer legend.

Forward PR Press Day AW12

Forward PR AW12 press day was full of wonderful designers. The collections by Jasper Garvida, Jaida Hay, SD Yohans, Euphorik, Corrie Nielsen, Magenta 8 and Emma Yeo were all brilliant. AO FMpro make-up gave me a make-over. I didn’t want to take the make-up off ever!

Corrie Nielsen was my favourite show at London Fashion Week. Her clothes are amazing.

Emma collaborated with Corrie Nielsen for her AW12 London Fashion Week show. She makes the most beautiful hat.

Sleek and timeless menswear designer Euphorik.

Jaida Hay was a particular favourite. I had a chat with her and hope to do an interview with her soon. She worked at Emilia Wickstead Atelier prior to launching her own line. I love the draping, wraps and sports luxe edge to her collection. Some incredibly beautiful pieces. It is minimalist luxury but also is made with sustainable fabrics and made solely in the United Kingdom.

Jasper Garvida: Another fav.

Inspiration from the 1950s here, a popular theme. A lot of designers are doing collections that are very grown up. Magenta 8 are a luxury design house. Lots of tailoring.

SD Yohans’ shoes celebrate a lady’s elegance and strength. I love the collection. I really want all of these shoes.

Sixty young millionaires will appear alongside the 1,000 richest people in Britain and the 250 wealthiest in Ireland in the definitive annual guide to wealth to be published in an extra 104-page magazine free with The Sunday Times. The richest young sportsmen will appear in The Sunday Times Sport Rich List 2012 published on May 6. Additional guides to wealth will appear at thesundaytimes.co.uk/richlist from April 29, with the Richest 2,000 people in Britain available from May 13.
Outside sport, more than half the wealthiest young people in Britain are entertainers. Actor Daniel Radcliffe, aged 22, who starred in eight Harry Potter films, heads the Young Entertainers Rich List with a £54m fortune. Radcliffe has increased his wealth by £6m in a year, helped by the success of his latest movie, the gothic thriller The Woman in Black. Twilight star Robert Pattinson has added £8m in a year to his fortune and is now worth £40m.
The young entertainer who has made the biggest gain in the last year is pop diva Adele, who has more than trebled her wealth after the phenomenal worldwide success of her second album 21. The 23-year-old songstress, from Tottenham, north London, is now worth £20m, an increase of £14m on her wealth in 2011, which puts her £8m ahead of the fortunes of Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and Katie Melua, who are in equal second place – each worth £12m, in the Young Music Millionaires Top 20 to be published in The Sunday Times Rich List 2012 on April 29.
The five newcomers in The Young Music Millionaires Top 20, each worth £5m, are all four members of JLS and Jessie J, 24, who has sold close to 1m copies of her album Who You Are and is a mentor on the BBC TV talent show The Voice UK. Jessie J, who has an endorsement deal with Pretty Polly tights, is one of a number of young actors and musicians who add to their wealth by modelling.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, worth £5m, is the latest model to join Britain’s Young Rich List. Now 25, Huntington-Whiteley, who grew up on a Devon farm, has been signed to the American lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret since 2006. Based in Los Angles she is branching out into films, with a part in Transformers: Dark of the Moon last year.

Harvey Nichols A/W 2012

I have always though of Harvey Nichols (or Harvey Nics as us Londoners call it) as a young person’s Harrods. It has all of the luxury items, but is a bit more laid-back. I went to check out there Autumn/Winter collection and…wow.

My favourite clothes were by Jenny Packman (a Catherine Middleton favourite, and one that women who have more curves look just as amazing in. I find I would look too ‘booby’ in some of the things Middleton wears), Osman, Rag & Bone (divine), Erdem, Roksanda Llincic, McQueen, Preen and Mary Kantrantzou. A lot of amazing British designers are supported.

Lots of patterns and even some Lady Gaga type heels. All in all, a brilliant collection.

Shoes for Summer: SS’12: Cushe Footwear

SS’12: Cushe Footwear

Cushe Footwear has launched its SS12 range of unconventional footwear choices for everyday life and showcased this in a beautiful behind the scenes videos and advertising campaign. I like their shoes and the feel of their campaign. The shoes look comfy and are well designed.

The SS’12 shoot chronicles ‘the road trip’ in videos which follow one man’s travels to Mozambique. This reflects Cushe’s laidback lifestyle and travel message, demonstrating how the brand create lines to cater for all aspects of a Summer adventure. This story is reflected through the behind the scenes video.

The overall theme for this season’s range of shoes was based around ‘The Wonder Year’, which translates across all forms of creative associated with the season.

Check out the behind the scenes videos.
