Superdry Bento Beauty Box | Review

Superdry are not content just making fabulous clothes. Their beauty range is expanding all the time and their new Bento Beauty Box (£25) is funky and great value. It contains Superdry Beauty miniature versions of Lip Fix, Eye Marker (a great eyeliner which looks like a felt tip, perfect for thick or thin lines), Nail Paint, Highlighter, a mirror, a full size nail plane and a full size Mascara. You could almost create an entire beauty look just with this stylish beauty box.

The mirror is something you can keep forever and looks like a badge. The nail polish colour is a colourful hot pink that will make you happy – and is apparently their bestselling shade, their lip fix is great for chapped lips and the highlighter is great for sculpting the face and giving you a glow. The mascara is jet black and volumising. This recycled cardboard gift box is a great Christmas gift full of Superdry’s bestselling beauty products. Great stuff. It is out this month (October 2013)

Handpicked Media London Fashion Week Suite SS14 | Fashion

The Handpicked Media London Fashion Week suite was as amazing as ever. As well as lots of lovely people I also got pampered and checked out some great brands.

I had my brows done by HD Brows, they looked so good afterwards I didn’t want to wash my face. Ever. I tried on some jackets from Superdry. Their tailoring is amazing and their jackets are such good quality. Superdry also have great Bento Beauty boxes. They have some great products in them and look cool.

I also had my make up done by Martin Carter. The Stila make up artist used some amazing Stila products on me, including the CC Cream which comes out blue, but looks great on. I love Stila and Martin taught me some amazing make up tricks such as; put eyeliner in between the upper lash line for a natural, defined look and to paint mascara on the bottom lashes with a brush rather than applying the mascara directly. I wish I looked how Martin made me look 24/7.

I also had a hot stone massage and a hand massage from The Mandara Spa. I am completely converted to hot stone massage now. My spine and hands were never so happy. I felt completely relaxed and happy. I highly recommend them.

I also had a bra fitting thanks to Freya lingerie. Like most women I found out I was wearing the wrong size. Apparently women think their back is larger than it is, this turned out to be true for me as I thought I was a 34D but am actually a 30DD. I love my Freya Lingerie, below.

I had a relaxing manicure. I always love getting manicures. When my nails look good and are painted just looking at them makes me happy, even if I am having a bad day. WAH nails gave me some great blue polka dot nails. I love them.

Legendary hair dresser Errol Douglas was also doing hair. My fellow bloggers/writers were walking out with amazing hair styles. Unfortunately I had to head off to a show so couldn’t get one myself.

I managed to pick up some products in the suite at One Aldwych Hotel and will be reviewing them in the coming months.

Well done Handpicked Media, see you in six months.

Do you want to try any of the above? Which one?

Superdry + Timothy Everest Womens Sebiro Collection AW13

Superdry founder James Holder and contemporary British tailor Timothy Everest have designed an exclusive new women’s collection. It is a tailored collection with a very classic British feel. This follows on from their men’s collection. I went along to the launch and grabbed a cocktail. The show was part fashion show and part theatre. Lots of fun and I liked the clothes.

The women’s collection has a shooting and fishing crowd feel with a mix of rock’n’roll rebel. The material and cut is superb and the clothes can take you everywhere from work to an evening out. Take a look and let us know what you think.

Superdry Beauty Range | Beauty Review

I am a sucker for beautiful packaging and originality, and Superdry’s beauty range has both in spades. Even their lipstick (which they call lip paint) has beautiful details on the actual stick. The make up bags are clear and in bright colours, and the actual packaging just looks amazing. I don’t know who their design team is, but they deserve a medal.

I love their lip fix in peppermint. It really does stop your lips drying out. It is one of my favourite lip balms now, and smells great. Their eye liner is brilliant too. Sorry if I sound like I am fawning, they just really do the job. I love eyeliner so I am fussy about what I use. It has to be really black and have staying power.

Superdry make-up is priced between £2-20, a really good price range, especially considering the quality and design of the products.

Their eyeshadow is very cool too, it flips out sideways. I also recommend their Kabuki Brush. It is so soft I could stroke it all day.

Do you think you will be trying any of Superdry’s beauty products?
