Alessandra Ambrosio looks absolutely gorgeous in her Diesel ‘DenimEye’ glasses. We don’t know what we want more: her style, the weather or a ticket to Coachella. Sigh.
For AW14 Hervé Léger by Max Azria enters the world of technology, diffusing the line between fantasy and reality. Cool shades of blue, black and grey are intensified by luminous orange and a splash of lime. Nature inspired textures are digitally transformed into 3-D jacquards and pixelated metal beading. Contrasting bandages and cage-corset belts frame and define the form. Shielded in arctic furs and exotic feathers, she is fearless and confident. Thigh-high boots with textured metal heels and structured clutches give her a refined edge.
Choc Shot Liquid Chocolate
This is a brilliant invention. This liquid hot chocolate just needs to be stirred into hot milk. However it’s a hot chocolate that is not just for drinking. You can spread on toast, squeeze and shake for a milk shake and drizzle over ice cream, porridge and fruit. It tastes great, like a high quality dark chocolate. Not the bitter ones though, it is very sweet. It is 100% natural, low GI, GM and gluten-free, vegan and only 14 calories per tsp. Wow and wow. I think we just found out how we are going to be getting our chocolate fixes from now on.
Available from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado. RRP £3.59

From 7th April to 19th May Sake no Hana, the Japanese restaurant by the internationally acclaimed Hakkasan Group, will be celebrating the arrival of Spring and Japanese cherry blossom season with the launch of “Sakura at Sake no Hana”, a pop-up cherry blossom secret garden. Taking over the bar on St. James’s Street, “Sakura at Sake no Hana” will be a spectacular display of an abundance of pink cherry blossom enveloping the bar from floor to ceiling, entwining above and around guests while they enjoy limited-edition cherry blossom sake cocktails, bento boxes and desserts.
Sake no Hana and renowned florist Veevers Carter designed the fantastical garden to capture the essence and ethos of Japanese cherry blossom season “sakura”, one of the most celebrated periods in the Japanese calendar. To enter the bar guests will step through a fairytale-like entrance, surrounded by interweaving branches and archways of lush blossom. Once inside, the creation focuses around two large cherry blossom trees – one either side of the bar – which reach up and encoil their branches above and around the bar creating an elaborate canopy effect, with blooms and branches intertwining the bamboo walls. Jo Malone blossom-scented candles will complete the sensory experience.
Inspired by “sakura” and “hanami”, the centuries-old Japanese tradition of celebrating the fleeting annual cherry blossom season, “Sakura at Sake no Hana” offers guests in Mayfair the chance to enjoy the transient beauty of the flowers by sipping sakura sake cocktails at the blossom bar or by booking a table in the pop-up garden to indulge in a Japanese lunch with friends. Limited-edition items include:

For racing fans, Hunt Vs Lauda: Grand Prix’s Greatest Racing Rivals is a documentary between two legends. Even for those who are not, it is still fascinating.
The victory duel for the 1976 Formula 1 World Championship has become the stuff of legend. The spectacular battle for supremacy that raged between Austrian Niki Lauda and ‘True Brit’ James Hunt has never been equalled and now this amazing story is told in a fascinating new documentary Hunt Vs Lauda: Grand Prix’s Greatest Racing Rivals.
After almost burning to death in his car at the Nurburgring track, Lauda came back from the dead and fought Hunt all the way to the last race of the season…But this film is no simple tale of driver-versus-driver: both men had their demons, but the forces that threatened them most were bred from the insane circus that surrounded them.
This powerful documentary originally aired on BBC4 and is now out on DVD courtesy of Delta Leisure
Told through unseen footage and exclusive interviews with the team managers, families, journalists and friends who were in the front row it captures the heart of the 1970s and the season that changed Formula 1 forever.
This documentary is inspiring and breathtaking. We even felt emotional a few times. A truly stunning documentary with lots of great stuff we had never seen before. A must-watch.
‘I did not want to start the race at the Nurburgring…I did so out of loyalty towards my firm and my friends. It was not a good compromise for me’ Niki Lauda
‘Niki was the only bloke who could get half his face burnt off and come out better looking’ James Hunt

We are a huge fan of green cleaning brand Ecover, so when they launched their first ecological phosphate-free All-In-One dishwasher tablets. It keeps rivers clean, your home free of nasties and your dishes gleaming.
The reason it is good not to have phosphate, which is a common ingredient in many dishwasher tablets, is that it can lead to the growth of algae blooms which turn lakes and rivers green and harms aquatic life.
Ecover uses plant and mineral based ingredients to ensure that nasty residues are not left behind in the water system or in crockery. However, they contain enough salt and rinse aid action and are lightly fragranced with a fruity citrus smell. They also received the coveted Good Housekeeping Institute stamp of approval. Impressive.
These work well, making dishes clean and gleaming without any streaks. Good stuff.
Available from Ocado, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
