Joss Stone speaks about kidnappers

Joss Stone says the two men who allegedly tried to kidnap her were “completely off their Charlie”.

Junior Bradshaw, 30, and Kevin Liverpool, 33, were arrested near the British singer’s home in Devon, Southern England, in June and charged with planning to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm but Joss refuses to let it affect her life in a negative way.

She told ‘E! News’: “It’s a lot of crazies in the world. Isn’t it weird? I mean, what an awful thing to do. But, no, it’s fine, they’re just completely off their Charlie.”

Despite the terrifying plans, Joss says she still feels safe in her home.

She added: “It’s weird because I live in the middle of nowhere, well that’s why they got lost, which is good.

“I do feel very safe where I live. I live in the house that I grew up in and I don’t ever plan on moving. I love my home because there’s an extended family. I have four neighbours, one’s a neighbour with a shotgun and I’ve got a great Rottweiler. It’s silly to worry about things that didn’t happen. Just gives me more lyrics, more stories to tell.”

At the time of the arrests, the ‘Fell in Love With a Boy’ hitmaker said: “I’d like to thank everyone for their concern but I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries.”

Nick Lachey marries Vanessa

Nick Lachey has married Vanessa Minnillo.

The couple – who have been dating since 2006 – tied the knot in front of just 35 friends and family in a romantic tropical island ceremony today.

TV host Vanessa – who wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier ensemble – told People magazine: “For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want and that’s to start a family together.”

Speaking about the nuptials, singer Nick added: “Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket. We told them they were going away and the attire was ‘island chic.’ It was all very vague.”

Following the announcement of their engagement last year, Nick – who was formerly married to Jessica Simpson – said they were taking their time at planning the wedding.

He said: “We’re still basking in the glow of our very recent engagement and enjoying that. I’m sure we’ll get on with the planning and what-not shortly, but we’re just enjoying this experience.

“We’re very excited. We’re obviously extremely happy and looking forward to everything that the future brings for us, so we are very excited and just enjoying the moment.”

Beyonce Knowles 'can't wait' for family

Beyonce Knowles “can’t wait” to start a family.

The 29-year-old singer – who has previously hinted she would like to have children with husband Jay-Z in the near future – will be a “natural” mother, according to her sister Solange, who has six-year-old son Daniel.

Solange said: “She will be a great mother, a natural. She will love to start a family. I can’t wait, they will be beautiful.”

However, while waiting to become a mother of her own, 25-year-old Solange admits Beyonce has a great time as an auntie to her child.

She added to the Daily Mirror: “Beyonce adores my little boy. She takes him everywhere. We were in Europe a couple of months ago and he loved being with his auntie.”

Meanwhile the ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ hitmaker – who is currently in the UK on a promotional tour of her new album ‘4’ – is said to have become obsessed with British TV shows, in particular the BBC London-based soap ‘EastEnders’.

A source said: “Beyonce finds the accents on ‘EastEnders’ really funny. She spends half the time mimicking what they’re saying in her fake British accent.”

Jennifer Aniston developed an attitude with age

Jennifer Aniston has developed a “f**k it attitude”.

The 42-year-old star – who is currently dating ‘Your Highness’ actor Justin Theroux – admits she has become more comfortable with herself as she has grown older because she was a lot more “controlled” when she was younger.

She said: “Getting older, you get more comfortable in your body and in your skin and who you are and you have more of a f**k it attidue.

“You’re so careful and controlled in your 20s and you’re just more aware of your every move. Now, I think there’s more freedom and comfort and none of it really matters, as long as you are enjoying yourself and having a really good time. Not hurting other people – of course, that goes without saying.”

The former ‘Friends’ actress – who was formerly married to Brad Pitt – is now starring in comedy movie ‘Horrible Bosses’ as nymphomaniac blackmailer Dr. Julia Harris, and she admits she loved getting to explore her “kinkiest” side on the film.

She told The Sun newspaper: “It was great fun and very liberating to throw myself into this character. You feel totally uninhibited and get to explore your weirdest and kinkiest psychological quirks and just exaggerate all the kinds of flirtatious ideas and fantasies you’ve ever had.

“You get to enjoy being fearless when you play a character that is so brazen and domineering.”

Nicole Scherzinger engaged

Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton are reportedly engaged.

The ‘X Factor’ judge and the Formula One driver – who have been dating on and off for the past four years – are set to marry after Lewis popped the question, according to Nicole’s father.

Alfonso Valiente – who split from Nicole’s mother Rosemary when she was six but remains close to his daughter – told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged.

“My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth.

My family all like him. The good spirit is there.”

Alfonso, 52, says he first met Lewis last year after the couple spent a week with him and his family on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and the sportsman left a good impression.

He said: “When he walked into the house for the first time he picked up one of the babies. That went down very well.

“He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together. Lewis is a really good guy. When they came to visit, we hired them a Jeep because he had never driven one before.”

While a spokesman for 25-year-old Lewis refused to confirm their engagement, Nicole recently revealed how she wants to settle down and have children.

The 32-year-old singer said: “Do I see us getting married and having children? My head says yeah, but I’m really focused on my music now and I think that will come in time.

“I think I’ll be really strict like my momma, maybe even worse. I won’t let my children out of the house! I’ll make them listen to classical music.”

Jennifer Lopez splits from Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have split after seven years of marriage.

The couple – who have three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, together – have decided to call time on their relationship after they both agreed on the “difficult decision”.

In a statement released to People magazine, Jennifer and Marc – who wed in June 2004 – said: “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.

“It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

Jennifer – who has been married twice before – recently spoke of her contentment in her personal life now she was a wife and mother.

The 41-year-old beauty said: “I’m in a really happy, good place now, and when you have babies, you feel a different kind of love to anything you’ve experienced – deeper, more profound.

“No matter how much experience you have in love, you’re always learning new things about it; you’re always going to have questions you can never fully answer. I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been in my life and my husband and my babies have everything to do with that.”

Les Hinton and Rebekah Brooks Resign. Murdoch Latest

Following on from the last article Frost did on the phone hacking scandal, Rebekah Brooks has finally resigned after Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of the press baron, launched a rant that Brooks had ‘fucked the company’. Les Hinton, who has been at News Corporation for over 50 years has also resigned saying that he ‘had no other choice’. Apparently, Brooks had offered her resignation a week ago.

Rupert Murdoch has taken out a full page advert in the national press to say apologise despite saying previously that ‘we only made minor mistakes.’ The FBI have launched an investigation into the claims that the phones of 9/11 victims were hacked.

Carl Bernstein, the former Washington Post reporter who exposed Watergate and helped depose a US president, says it is evident that the events of the past week “are the beginning, not the end, of the seismic event”.

News Corporation has hired Edelman, a global communications company to manage the crisis on both sides of the Atlantic and it looks like James Murdoch being the heir apparent it now a pipe dream.

UK parliamentary hearing start next week and the future is looking grim for Murdoch, he personally met the family of Milly Dowler to apologise to them, but the damage has all been done. It will interesting to see what happens next. It is ironic to see the hounder hounded, a lot of the photographers taking pictures of Murdoch, actually work for him. Tom Mockridge has been appointed to run News International. Will Chase Carey be heading up global corporation soon.

Lindsay Lohan: Black Swan role should have been mine

Lindsay Lohan claims she should have had the lead role in ‘Black Swan’.

The 25-year-old actress has reportedly spoken of her frustration that Natalie Portman was handed the part of ballet dancer Nina Sayers who descends into madness preparing for a production of Swan Lake – a role that earned her the Best Actress Oscar – insisting her own dance training made her ideal for the part.

Plum Miami magazine writer Jacquelynn Powers reports the actress told her she did “ballet until she was 19 and was indignant that she was not considered for the movie ‘Black Swan’.”

The troubled actress – who was recently freed from a 35-days house arrest, which she served in lieu of jail time after taking a necklace from an upmarket boutique store and violating the terms of probation set for her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) – had refused to give an interview to accompany a photo shoot she did for the publication, and the magazine instead accompanied the images with an account of her difficult behaviour.

As well as costing the magazine $100,000 after turning up late, sending the shoot into overtime, she also refused to vacate the hotel room which the publication was paying for.

Jacquelynn wrote: “Monday morning was supposed to be check-out time, but Lindsay and her posse refused to leave. It was like watching the lights come on at a nightclub after-hours – not pretty.”

They also reported she was argumentative, drank wine while speaking about being alcohol-free, and insisted on cleaning a stripper pole before she would pose with it.

A photographer on the shoot commented: “She has a dangerous element to her presence. You never know what’s gonna happen in the next two seconds. Is she gonna bite you?”
