I love it when people use their initiative to fill a need, and I’m very impressed with Alvin Mills, founder of SHYNE. As a man of colour, he struggled to find hair products for men with textured hair. He decided that if a specialist brand didn’t exist by the time he’d completed university, he would create one. In 2018, he graduated, and SHYNE was born.
