Beyonce & Jay Z Kick Off On The Run Tour, Share Wedding Video

Beyonce and Jay Z have kicked off their On The Run Tour. They opened their 16-city tour in Miami, performing their 2002 hit Bonnie and Clyde.

The couple also let the public finally see their wedding video from their 2008 wedding, along with footage of their one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

“There were videos of Blue in the pool with her mom, walking holding hands with her parents, Jay Z kissing Blue. It was a sweet moment — Jay Z and Beyoncé were both facing the screen watching the Blue videos while they sang ‘Halo.’ It was like they were singing the song to their baby girl. The two of them were beaming, smiling watching their little girl on the screen.” a concertgoer told Us Weekly.

It is all very sweet and Mr and Mrs Carter are showing how strong they are against gossip about their marriage.

What do you think? Are they a great couple?

Kim Kardashian Wedding Dress Pictures

It has been three days since they married and E! have finally released pictures of Kim and Kanye’s wedding. Especially the Givenchy wedding dress. Here it is:

It sure is beautiful but if you were on your third marriage at 33, would you wear white?

New York Post Gives Kim and Kanye Scathing Wedding Announcement

The New York Post have written a rather funny, scathing, wedding announcement on Kimye.

nypost-kimye announcement

The wedding announcement of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian was short but sarcastic. “Two jackasses got married in Italy Saturday,” it begins and calls Kardashian a “sex-tape star” and Kanye an “egotist.”

What do you think? Funny or just mean?

First Look Of Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Dress

We wish we didn’t care but we do. Here it is, the first peek at Kim Kardashian’s wedding dress, and we think it’s beautiful. She may be 33-years-old and on her third marriage, but that hasn’t stopped her going all-out again. Let’s just hope this one lasts. What do you think?

Brides Embrace Grey Wedding Dresses After Kim Kardashian’s Vogue Cover

She is not exactly known as a high-fashion icon but it seems that notorious Vogue cover really has given Kim Kardashian some of the credibility she craves, along with some fashion kudos. eBay has seen a mammoth 260%* surge in sales of grey wedding dresses since Kim Kardashian’s recent appearance on the cover of Vogue (with fiancé Kanye West), wearing a similar design.

Despite growing rumblings about ‘Kimye’s’ upcoming ceremony in France, the chosen design for Kim’s wedding dress is still tightly under wraps. But it’s the stunning grey number she wore on the fashion bible’s April cover – with a sweetheart neckline and nipped waist – that British brides-to-be are coveting, proving that this surprising trend is one-to-watch this spring.

Muted grey tones, punchy floral designs, pastel blues and girlish greens were among the big hitters at the London Bridal Show in April, all prompting many women to reconsider the conventional white dress. Sales of these fashionable colours have similarly increased on eBay, with green wedding dresses up by 72%, blue gowns by 95%, and floral prints up by an incredible 107%*.

Reimagining the wedding show, the Quintessentially Wedding Atelier presents a unique, ‘behind the scenes’, experiential showcase of couture designers, artisanal crafts and luxury products, from statement designer gowns to fine jewels, innovative wedding gastronomy to the ancient art of calligraphy.

Hosted over two days on 26th and 27th October, the By-Appointment-Only event – held at the beautiful Robert Adam Georgian Townhouse, 29 Portland Place – will allow guests to immerse themselves in authentic luxury as designers and luminaires reveal the secrets of their highly skilled crafts.

Headlining with a Spring and Fall 2014 Bridal Collection – the latter being seen for the first time in the UK – iconic fashion house Oscar de la Renta will be making their debut onto the London show scene at the Atelier with a selection of beautiful gowns from their bridal collections. The house (first established in 1965) opened a store on Mount Street earlier this year with a dedicated bridal salon that will be brought to life as part of the Atelier.

Diamond master craftsmen, engravers and gemologists from iconic jeweller, Tiffany & Co will be demonstrating their skills in a pop-up version of their New York emporium alongside archival pieces, including a diamond brooch given to Elizabeth Taylor by Richard Burton.

Guests will discover interactive master classes and workshops with some of the world’s most coveted luxury brands and designers. There will be a stunning parade of gowns throughout the event from world class designers including Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Johanna Johnson, Valentino, Peter Langner and Marchesa in association with Browns Bride, as well as access to the experts from Alice Temperley and Roland Mouret, who will showcase their collection designed for the thoroughly modern, fashion conscious bride. Quintessentially Vodka will be mixed by The Connaught Hotel’s world champion mixologist, and canapés and tasters will be provided by legendary luxury department store Harrods, debuting their gourmet catering. Royal photographer Hugo Bernard and Royal Wedding cake maker Fiona Cairns will be on hand to add a regal touch to proceedings.

Winston Churchill’s beautiful stately home, Blenheim Palace, will collaborate with artisan stationers Cutture to create a 3D theatrical set and upstairs, hidden in an intimate boudoir, Agent Provocateur will introduce their latest never-seen-before collections and lead talks on the Trousseau – the ‘hope chest’ received by a bride upon her marriage overflowing with gems, lacy sweet nothings and ballgowns to entertain in.

There will be a Groom’s Tailoring Salon for bespoke attire, sartorial elegance classes from insider experts, as well as top tips from leading make-up artists, stylists and nutritionists.

Adding substance to style, the Quintessentially Weddings Atelier will showcase the knowledge, passion and talent behind each expert. The Atelier will provide an unrivalled opportunity to forge connections with brands and talent that can transform a wedding into a luxuriously adventurous and truly memorable affair. With further names to be announced, stay tuned…

Johnson Cleaners Appeal For Old Wedding Outfits. First Ever Wedding Amnesty

Vintage_Wedding_DressesBrides and grooms across the country are this month being asked to donate ‘something old’ for charity in the form of wedding outfits, as part of the first ever national wedding outfit amnesty.

Building on its established credentials as a dry cleaning specialist within the wedding industry, Johnson Cleaners has teamed up with The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation – which organises and funds weddings for people with terminal illnesses and life limiting conditions – to offer its dry cleaning services as well as to help raise awareness and much needed funds for the charity.

The UK’s leading dry cleaning provider is urging people to drop off their wedding dresses and suits, as well as bridesmaids’ outfits, at any of its stores nationwide; all items donated will either be used by prospective brides and grooms being supported by the charity or sold to raise funds for weddings organised by the charity.

The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation was set up in 2012 by wedding planner, Naomi Thomas, after she married her partner while suffering from secondary breast cancer; the start of the amnesty also marks Naomi’s first year wedding anniversary.

Talking about the amnesty, Naomi said: “We originally approached Johnson Cleaners to help support the charity through cleaning, as well as alterations and repairs to outfits that had already been donated; we were blown away when the team not only agreed to offer these services to us, but also developed a national campaign idea designed to get the whole country talking about the Foundation.

“We want to help create the perfect wedding day for as many people with terminal illnesses and life limiting conditions as possible and our partnership with Johnson Cleaners will have a huge impact on helping us to achieve this goal.

“Everyone deserves a magical wedding day and a donation to the amnesty could help make this dream a reality for the couples we work with.”

The partnership will see Johnson Cleaners altering and dry cleaning up to 10 outfits a week free of charge for the charity.

Paul Ogle, managing director of Johnson Cleaners, said: “We were captivated by Naomi’s story and the work the charity is doing within the UK, so we created a campaign that would enable people up and down the country to get involved.

“Whether you’re thinking about donating an outfit or you’re looking for an outfit yourself, we want to encourage people to support the amnesty in any way they can.”

Any outfits donated as part of the amnesty and not used by brides and grooms working with The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation will be sold at open day events due to be set up by the charity throughout the summer.

The amnesty begins today and runs throughout the remainder of the month.
