The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 | Trailer Preview

At Frost we have been waiting impatiently for the new Hunger Games film. When Lionsgate released the trailer, along with some official preview pictures we were pretty excited. The first cast photo of Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin has also been released and she looks great.

An interview with director Francis Lawrence was also released, in which he discussed finishing Philip Seymour Hoffman’s scenes after his tragic death before filming had ended. Lawrence said: “We finished the majority of his work (before he died), I think he might have had 8 to 10 days left on our schedule. In most of the scenes, Philip didn’t have any dialogue. We are going to put him into those scenes, but we’re only using real footage. We’re not creating anything digital or a robotic version of him.”

Julianne Moore gushed about joining the cast in her interview (shown below)

“I’ve read all the books. I’ve read them all the way through, and I’m like, ‘I want to be in this movie!’ Clearly, that was the only part that I could play.”

The Rise Of Casino Games

Something interesting has happened to humanity in the last ten years – we’ve all gone mad
for casino games. Perhaps it’s the promise of a little bit of glamour and escapism, coupled
with the influence of James Bond and the stories of bedroom gamblers who made it big (like
Chris Moneymaker).

CASINO ROYALE

No doubt the relatively recent ability to travel to Las Vegas from most major cities has
something to do with it as well. Televised poker certainly played a part a few years ago, but perhaps one of the biggest causes of this explosion in the popularity of casino games has been the spread of apps for smartphones and tablets. Ubiquitous Wi-Fi connections now
allow us to play roulette or poker pretty much anywhere.

New Players

For new players – and clearly there are plenty of them – it’s important to be able to get
reliable information about trusted sites, bonuses and the various strategies and systems that claim to be able to improve your win rate. Roulette is one of the most popular games online, as well as in land-based casinos, partly because it’s easy to understand.

casino-games-on-internet

New players will inevitably come across the Martingale roulette system at some point, but
beware; there’s a serious downside to it, explained in an article at Fortune Palace. The fact that, in modern casinos, every table now has a limit means that even with a huge bankroll,
the Martingale system can leave you very broke, very quickly!

Set A Limit

If you’re new to casino games, whether online or otherwise, remember Rule Number One:
set a limit on what you’re prepared to lose, assume you will lose it, and walk away when
you’ve done so. The point, after all, is that it’s supposed to be fun! Remember that, in the
long term, the house always, always wins.

Certain games – like blackjack for example – can offer better odds (in the long term) to players than others. Texas Hold ‘Em has enjoyed perhaps the biggest surge in popularity of all casino games, and one of the reasons is that, while it takes a few minutes to grasp the basics, experienced players will tell you that you never stop learning.

Celebrity Players

Hold ‘Em has drawn in a raft of celebrity players, some more successful than others. Tobey
“Spider-Man” Maguire is said to have won millions of dollars in Hollywood home games, while Jennifer Tilly (currently the voice of Bonnie in “Family Guy”) does pretty well as a semi-
pro player.

Ben Affleck is another noted Hollywood poker player, though after a big win ten years ago his success at the game seems to have diminished somewhat. It’s not just Hollywood types that play though – Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps is reported to be an enthusiastic participant and keen to improve. Ex-footballer Teddy Sheringham and Teutonic tennis ace Boris Becker are also regularly to be found poring over their hands.

So if you’re tempted by casino games, remember that the chances of winning big are small,
keep it fun, and get good advice – there’s plenty of it out there…

32-year-old Beyoncé uploaded a picture of them at Coachella last month, one of them hugging and one of the sisters looking happy together on the back of a truck. But where does this leave Jay Z? What really happened in that lift? Will we ever know? Maybe not, but some of the rumours are that Jay wanted to go to Rihanna’s afterparty, or that Solange has just never liked her brother-in-law and has flipped out before.

Scientists Reveal The ‘Language of Love’

finding love‘Physically fit’, ‘perceptive’ and ‘passionate’ – the words to a woman’s heart revealed

They may only be words, but the language men use in their online dating profiles can have a serious impact on getting them noticed by the opposite sex.

In a study of 12,000 dating profiles on eHarmony.co.uk, the relationship site identified the top ten words with the ‘D Factor’ – or ‘date factor’ – that were most likely to grab the attention of single women looking for great dates.

The data showed that men who mention some form of physical fitness, or described themselves as perceptive, passionate or optimisticall saw more approaches.

Conversely, women describing themselves as sweet, ambitious or thoughtful were more likely to see men start up conversations with them.

Interestingly the word ‘funny’ saw both male and female dater’s ears prick up, with both sexes ranking it sixth out of the top ten list; showing there are some things men and women do agree on.

And these extra approaches are far from insignificant. Physically fit or perceptive men attracted between 60-70% more interest from women who wanted to get to know them better; whereby sweet, ambitious or funny women saw between 20-45% more approaches.

The study also revealed that women are more interested in what men have to say for themselves, not just their looks – being more likely to consider a man based on his description rather than his picture. Words used on a profile were shown to have a wider impact (-64% to +69%) on women’s decision to approach, whereby this scale was narrower for men (-43% to +46%).

Jemima Wade, spokesperson for eHarmony.co.uk, said: “Whilst the research shows certain words serve to grab fellow daters’ attention, at eHarmony we know that daters are looking for quality dates every time. And that takes more than just a few words; it’s about finding someone with the same values, who instantly gets you.”

Jemima added: “That’s why we worked with the University of Oxford to develop our Compatibility Matching System and employ scientists to keep refining and improving our algorithm to ensure it’s the best tool to help people find that extra special someone.”

The top 10 words with the ‘D Factor’ (female / male)

1. Sweet (+46%) / Physically fit (+69%)

2. Ambitious (+39%) / Ambitious (+64%)

3. Thoughtful (+30%) / Perceptive (+63%)

8. Optimistic (+17%) / Thoughtful (+21%)

9. Hard working (+17%) / Affectionate (+17%)
