Sleep-in Rollers | Cool Things

The Bachelor’s Brandy Brewer Was Spotted In Sleep-In Rollers. Frost Magazine think sleep-in rollers are super cool. We like having perfect hair, but not at the expense of our beauty sleep.

She is the stunning Holly Willoughby look-a-like fighting off 23 other hopefuls all trying to win the heart of Spencer Matthews and we knew she was one to watch when we saw her spotted in episode one wearing her Sleep-In Rollers!

Perfect for when time is a luxury and beauty is an essential the new and revolutionary velcro rollers that you can actually sleep in are designed to flatten like a sponge when you lie down, guaranteeing a great night’s sleep and that you wake to perfect, volumized hair. Brandy ensured that she looked a million dollars with perfect bouncy hair for her first date with Spencer on episode one of The Bachelor last week! We can’t wait to see how things progress with Brandy and Spencer and if the Sleep-In Rollers craze spreads through The Bachelor pad.

Jack The Ripper’s London 2012

You’ve seen the films, walked the tours and heard the rumours – now, live the experience. Jack the Ripper’s London is a promenade, interactive recreation of a Whitechapel street, above and beyond conventional theatre. Perfect for adults and children (11+) alike, allow our actors to transport you to the streets of London, 1888 in a specially converted tunnel. You will follow the story of the last victim, Mary Kelly, and her turbulent relationship with her boyfriend. From market place to music hall, pub to pavement, meet the vigilantes and police, share a drink with the colourful characters of the East End and maybe…just maybe…follow the footsteps of the illusive and infamous Jack the Ripper.

Contained within an original 19th Century archway below the rumble of London Bridge trains, enjoy the songs of Victorian London and the dances of by-gone Music Halls. All this with just a dash of local knowledge and a morsel of mystery, we invite you to learn, feel and experience Jack the Ripper’s London.

Number 10, Bermondsey Street *To be kept secret* The show begins as a “tour”..

This unique and new arts space is the perfect location to re-visit the smoggy streets of Victorian London. With original exposed brickwork and a licensed bar, this labyrinth of tunnels hides a surprise around every corner. Containing our very own Ten Bells Public House and market street, the lofty tunnels and complex passageways lend themselves to immersing the audience members completely in the world of Jack the Ripper’s London.

Educational Packages

Crow Theatre have designed Jack the Ripper’s London around factual events from 1888; more than telling the story of Jack the Ripper, the piece is an opportunity to bring our cultural heritage to life and experience history. We are offering participation opportunities for local school children and have developed appropriate tasks for school trip groups and younger members of the audience. These stimulate learning and encourage them to engage with the set, the cast and the experience as a whole, discovering secrets of the past to help them complete their worksheets.

Crow Theatre have created a show that crosses generations and will entertain and inform all ages from 11 upwards. Jack the Ripper’s London is an educational tool for schools and youth groups, including National Curriculum subjects to support academic learning, whilst at the same time engaging and inspiring.

Crow Theatre

Based in South London and fully connected to our local community, Crow create interactive theatre events, run workshops and provide affordable tailor-made packages for businesses and community organisations.

As a non-profit organisation, our priority is to encourage the whole community to participate in the Arts and change the way we experience theatre.

Director, Natasha Campbell originally trained as an actress. She started developing her own work locally in South London in 2008 in non-traditional spaces and immersive format, in order to reach new audiences. With her three shows with Crow she has explored how the audience experience theatre and pushed the boundaries of what theatre can be.

She recently completed the Directors Traineeship with StoneCrabs Theatre and is excited about directing Jack the Ripper’s London, as much as she is about developing it with school children.

Supported by Producer Berte Watkins, a young producer at the BAC, Old Vic Tunnels and Wilton’s Music Hall and ex-Hollyoaks actor, Paul Leyshon, Crow Theatre are fast becoming one of South London’s leading modern theatre companies.

Lady Gaga Launches Perfume

Lady Gaga has launched her first ever perfume ‘Fame’. The first ever poster sees her modeling for icon photographer Steven Klein. Frost Loves it, and are those ‘little monsters’? Gaga confessed on Twitter that she was nervous about posting the photo to her followers. She tweeted: “I won’t lie I’m a bit nervous. its been a while since i’ve shared some work with you. But i’m so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep!”

It is the first ever black fluid perfume. Apparently it has Lady Gaga’s blood in it. Gaga said she wanted it to smell “like an expensive hooker”…[Blood and semen] is in the perfume but it doesn’t smell like it”

“You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample so it’s like a sense of having me on your skin.”

Harrogate mum sets up celebrity football match

Harrogate mum sets up celebrity football match with local club to raise money for vulnerable babies and children

Harrogate mum, Manraj Sanghera, who set up a Bliss Family Group in Harrogate last year, is now raising her game and has joined forces with Harrogate Town AFC to set up a celebrity football match on Sunday, 30 September 2012 at Harrogate Town AFC, in Harrogate.

The Bliss Select XI and Harrogate XI teams will be made up of ex-premiership footballers, Emmerdale cast members, Leeds United Legends and five local Dad’s of premature babies in aid of Bliss, for babies born too soon, too small or too sick, and Shine, which provides practical support to help individuals and families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

Every year around 80,000 babies are born premature or sick and in need of specialist hospital care, money raised will enable Bliss to continue its vital work to help premature and sick babies and their families across the UK.

Gareth Southgate (retired England player and ex-manager of Middlesbrough FC) will be the Bliss team Captain and Danny Mills (former-England and Leeds United player) also playing for Bliss, are just some of the household names set to play in the charity match in the autumn.

Danny says: “I am really proud to be taking part in the charity match for Bliss and Shine this autumn. Ever since I lost my son Archie to Spina Bifida ten years ago, I have worked closely with, and fundraised for Shine, who launched the first memorial challenge in my son’s name. Having experienced tragedy and the worry of two premature babies but getting through it by the amazing support we received from staff on the unit, I cannot think of two better causes. Any bit of fundraising and raising awareness I can do for these charities that provide care for sick babies and children, makes me feel I am doing my bit for Archie. Anyone can give something back, no matter how small, it really does help.”

Manraj was inspired to raise awareness of Bliss, after her three children were born premature and sick. Her first child Raj-Arjun was born at 37 weeks. He is now severely disabled after suffering a massive brain haemorrhage at birth. Her second child Simran was born at 29 weeks, weighing a mere 1Ib 11oz and her third child Priya was born at 34 weeks.

Manraj says: “I am really pleased to be organising this match in aid of Bliss and Shine. Since the birth of our son Raj-Arjun nine years ago, and two premature daughters Simran and Priya, we have spent many weeks in and out of neonatal intensive care and special care units in Harrogate and Leeds. If it were not for the dedication and support of the staff our children would not be alive.

‘Charities such as Bliss and Shine allow for a wider support mechanism for parents in such traumatic circumstances. We have received this vital support and feel it is time to give something back. It is for this reason we dedicate this match to everyone who has worked tirelessly to support us. It is also a great way to get dads involved who can sometimes be forgotten, when lots of the support is offered to mums and babies.

Other footballers set to play include: Colin Cooper, Nigel Quashie, Nigel Martyn, David Prutton, Colin Hunter and local Radio Presenters from Stray FM.

Tad Nowakowski from Harrogate Town AFC says: “Harrogate Town AFC are delighted to be involved in supporting Bliss and allowing our facilities to be used to host this charity soccer match. We are looking forward to seeing local dads playing on our new pitch which is being levelled and re-seeded later this year.”

Chief Executive Andy Cole from Bliss says: “The celebrity football match is set to be a really successful fundraising event. We are extremely grateful to Manraj for organising the event and the money raised will help Bliss’ work to support babies and their families during an incredibly difficult and stressful time.”

Tickets are now on sale, £12.50 for adults, and £7.50 children (Under 12) Under 3 free. For further ticket sellers’ information, log onto www.harrogatetownafc.co.uk or www.bliss.org.uk or e-mail: first4charityevents@gmail.co.uk all proceeds will go to Bliss, Shine, Harrogate SCBU and LGI Peter Congdon Unit (NICI).
