Kim Cattrall stars in Nintendo’s new Super Mario 3D Land TV campaign

A fun new TV campaign highlights how women like to game in their ‘me time’

Iconic screen and stage actress Kim Cattrall will add some Hollywood glamour to Nintendo’s latest TV campaign for Super Mario 3D Land, as she reveals her secret passion for gaming.

The brand new adverts, which launch on 11th June, show Kim in her bedroom reaching over to her bedside table and opening her Ice White Nintendo 3DS as she indulges in a bit of ‘me time’.

Kim shares how Mario is one man she can always rely on to have some fun and adds, with a twinkle in her eye, that their shared love of dressing up has kept things interesting over the years.

Nintendo first approached Kim after hearing how much she enjoys playing video games whether with friends or on her own. The campaign aims to show how the rich and colourful world of Mario provides the perfect escape for women for five minutes or five hours*.

Kim understands that women need to keep challenging themselves in all areas of life, and that it is important to make time to play, at every age. Through the campaign, Kim helps to show that gaming can be a form of escapism for all women, in their busy everyday lives.

Vanisha Kavia, Junior Product Manager at Nintendo UK, said: “The new campaign is all about women having fun. Kim Cattrall is an inspiration for women of all ages; she’s attractive, successful, intelligent and knows how to have fun. Plus, she is a genuine fan of Nintendo! We are really excited to have her involved in our new campaign.”

Kim Cattrall said: “It has been fabulous to work with Nintendo. I have been playing Nintendo games for years, have often gifted them to my family and have fallen in love with the new Nintendo 3DS and Super Mario 3D Land. I think it’s really important for women to take time out to play and Mario games are so much fun. An added bonus is that my nephew thinks I am the coolest aunty.”

Super Mario 3D Land is the first-ever true 3D Mario adventure game and sees the return of the Tanooki suit. It launched exclusively on Nintendo 3DS in November 2012, has remained in the top 25 games chart since launch and, like all Mario titles, is particularly popular with women.

Kim Cattrall Fine with Age

Kim Cattrall has “no desire” to look like she is 20.The 54-year-old actress – best known for playing Samantha Jones in ‘Sex and the City’ – would rather appear “healthy” and of her own age as she has no desire to reclaim her youth.

She said: “I had a great time in my youth and still feel very youthful, but I have no desire to look as though I’m 20. I want to look healthy, but I want to look closer to my age.”

Kim also admitted she “doesn’t believe” in cosmetic surgery because she is worried about something going wrong if she went under the knife.

She added in an interview with Reveal magazine: “I don’t believe in cosmetic surgery, well, not yet. I’d be too frightened. There are so many examples of things that have gone horribly wrong. I live in New York in an area where it is all around me.”

While she is aware she will always be associated with ‘Sex and the City’, Kim is proud of the show because it helped changed women’s attitudes to sex.

She said: “The show had a hand in changing people’s ideas of women and who they are as sexual beings.”

Kim Cattrall; Hollywood Prejudice Against Older Actresses

Kim Cattrall feels she is “marginalised” as an actress.
The ‘Sex and the City’ star finds it hard winning roles now she is 54,
as casting directors are keen to get her to play characters who are
like man eater Samantha Jones, who she plays in the hugely successful
TV show.
She said: “Nobody wants to hire me unless I’m playing Samantha Jones.
Do you know what it’s like to be 54 and marginalised? It doesn’t get
any easier as you get older.”
Samantha admits prejudice in Hollywood is nothing new to her and she
has found it hard to break away from “sexualised” roles ever since she
started getting her first jobs – usually as sexy girls – in films such
as ‘Mannequin’ and ‘Porky’s’ in the 1980s.
She added to Reveal magazine: “I’ve been sexualised since I was a
young actress. If you want to get work as an actress – and not as a
waitress – you get sexualised. I think that can be part of your
journey, going through the Hollywood mill.
“Then you’re no longer as cute as the next crop coming up. It is
something I’ve been experiencing in one way or another in my entire
career.”
Kim – who is half English – said she has found a better attitude in
Europe, where she has received wide praise for her role in London play
‘Private Lives’ and in 2010 European shot thriller ‘The Ghost’.
She said: “One of the reasons I’ve come to Europe is because they tend
to think a little bit differently about getting older than people in
North America do.”

Actress Kim Cattrall Reveals Her Secret to Younger Looking Body Skin.

Kim Cattrall Makes the Switch to Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Body Wash & Body Lotion

Award-winning actress Kim Cattrall is revealing one of her most unexpected beauty secrets. She swapped her body products and upgraded to Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion for softer, smoother and younger looking skin after one use.

The striking star, best known for portraying Samantha Jones on Sex & The City, is now encouraging women to follow her lead and demand more from their body products to achieve a youthful appearance from head to toe.

“As an actress, Kim works hard to look her best on and off the big screen. We are thrilled that the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion are essential parts of Kim’s beauty routine,” said Joe Arcuri, Vice President, North America Female Beauty, Procter & Gamble.

“It’s important that I keep my body skin looking smooth and radiant,” agreed Kim. “Now that I’ve swapped to Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion, it’s never been easier to achieve firm skin that looks younger after just one shower.”

In a study conducted by evolutionary biologist Dr. Bernhard Fink, the impact of body skin’s appearance was explored in relation to perception of age. The study indicated that, when judged independently from the face, your body skin, if maintained, is perceived up to 10 years younger than your face and adds to the overall perception of youthfulness.

Dr. Fink’s findings signal the importance of body skin and that looking young requires taking care of both your face and your body skin – and women agree. During a recent P&G survey of over 1000 women aged 35 and older, 93% believed that looking young requires taking care of both your face and body skin. However, a staggering 80% had never heard of anti-aging body wash products.

Harnessing the power of Total Effects skin care, Olay developed the Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion with innovative formulas that go beyond basic cleansing and moisturizing to remove dry skin cells and improve skin elasticity for younger looking skin. Designed to fight the seven signs of aging all over the body, the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion help to improve skin’s elasticity in seven days and provide radiant skin in just one month.

No stranger to the spotlight, Kim Cattrall continually works to keep her body looking young and healthy. The Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion can now be credited as one of the acclaimed actress’s top beauty secrets for maintaining her famous physique.
