London is full of hidden gems. You could live in London your entire life and still not see everything it has to offer. So we at Frost thought we would help you out. Here is the first London Gem: St Christopher’s Place. Just off the hustle and bustle of Oxford Circus is a beautiful, quiet spot full of shops and places to eat. Just look out for the landmark purple clock. It has an eclectic mix of shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars, including Mulberry’s oldest boutique. It also has over 20 restaurants and cafés.

To get to St Christopher’s Place you just take a little alleyway parallel to James Street before you get to Selfridges on Oxford Street. This historical place has all of the buzz of London but with less of the stress. It is across the road from Bond St station on the north side of Oxford Street.

Perfect for: Alfresco dining, buzz without the stress, having less people around, shopping, relaxing and watching the world go by.

Soothing Shower Set Review

My first thought after receiving the soothing shower set was just how much I loved the packaging. You get four shower washes and a shower puff. I always love shower puffs because they take a little bit of shower wash and makes it go a long way.

This set is from new UK bodycare brand, Soothing Showers.

Allure Body Wash (75ml) – This shower gel is supposed to reveal your sexy side. I could not possibly comment if it had an affect on my fiance but he did love the smell. It also made my skin very soft. The smell is divine and uplifting . Yes, really, the smell just make you happy. It also make your skin look and feel lovely.

With a combination of Neroli, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and Sweet Orange essential oils. Allure is an intoxicating scent, with euphoric, uplifting and amorous effects, while the oils help soothe and rejuvenate your skin.

Bedtime Body Wash (75ml) –I find it hard to sleep so anything that says it will help I am happy to try. This was a wonderful and calming shower gel. I can’t say it cured my insomnia but it was definitely relaxing.

Shower your way to sweet dreams with this classic blend of Lavender essential oil and Vanilla Absolute, combining to give a serene and floral scent. You’ll be ready for a peaceful night’s rest with the relaxing and calming scent of Lavender, which will also help ease aches and pains and soothe your skin.

Heavenly Body Wash (75ml) – Has a smiliar feeling to the bedtime body wash but, obviously, has different essential oils. It has a very nice musky-sweet blend of Patchouli and Ylang Ylang. It is calming and balancing. I like it.

Make your halo glow with this indulgent herbaceous and Patchouli and Ylang Ylang essential oils that will leave you feeling uplifted. With a relaxing and balancing effect, these oils will also help to rejuvenate your skin, giving you a heavenly glow.

Purity Body Wash (75ml) – I love Aloe Vera. It is so good for your skin. This is also rich in amino acids and vitamins. A body wash that leaves you feeling very clean and soft.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Leave Hospital With Baby Prince

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have emerged from the Lindo Wing with their son. Both happy parents cradled their newborn son as they stood on the steps of St Margaret’s Hospital in-keeping with tradition. Kate looked radiant and happy in a cornflower blue dress by Jenny Packham.

William said: “He’s got a good pair of lungs on him that’s for sure. He’s quite heavy. We’re still working on a name.’ He also spoke about the wait for the birth, “I will remind him of his tardiness when he’s older as I know how long you lot have been out here.” He also complemented his wife’s looks, saying:”He’s got her looks that’s for sure!” and also joked that his son had more hair than him. Kate said that William had already changed his first nappy.

Kate gave birth to their son at 16:24 yesterday (22/7/2013) and Kensington Palace announced the birth via email at 20:32. The couples son weighted 8lbs 6oz and William was present for the birth.

Carole and Michael Middleton saw their grandchild at the Lindo Wing earlier today. They were followed by Charles and Camilla. Charles said that the birth was ‘marvellous’.

The baby will be called HRH Prince or Princess X of Cambridge, and will one day be head of the armed forces, supreme governor of the Church of England, and the head of state of 16 countries, as well as head of the Commonwealth.

CLA Game Fair 2013

The 2013 CLA Game Fair site is the beautiful Ragley Hall Estate which covers more than 500 acres. So far we have had a chance to talk to Olympic Gold medalist Peter Wilson, bask in the summer weather, 30c at last time of checking, look at some beautiful guns, cute dogs, clothes and events. Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche have their cars on display and tomorrow we will be checking out the only Zorse (cross breed of a Zebra and horse) in the UK.

We also spent time with prominent shooting journalist Michael Yardley who is at the top of his field. Michael has a gun from Boxall and Edmiston which bears his name after he gave some of his ideas on the design of the gun.

Go to the Boxall and Edmiston stand to see their beautiful guns. There is also beautiful leather goods there from Daniels & Wood.

Kiss Me First By Lottie Moggach Book Review

Sometimes a book comes along that everyone raves about, Kiss Me First is such a book. Every time I read a magazine or a newspaper someone is singing its praises. Of course a book doesn’t tend to get glowing reviews across the board without striking a chord with the people who read it, and for that to happen it has to tell us something about the world we live in, or the human condition.

Kiss Me First does both. Told through the eyes of a vulnerable young women with a computer addiction who loses her mother to MS. Leila is out of tune with the world and spends most of her time on the internet, playing online games or on an ‘intellectual’ forum called Red Pill. She does not relate to other people in their early twenties. Leila ends up taking on the online identity of Tess. A 38-year-old women with mental health issues. Beautiful and reckless Tess wants to disappear and Leila agrees to help after forum owner Adrien tells her she will be doing a noble thing.

I do not want to give too much of the book away but Kiss Me First is a very modern book. It is about social media, our online identities, mental illness, the internet, human relationships. All the things in the modern world which are both good and bad. The book also shows just how out of touch we can be with each other while being constantly plugged in. Leila is out of touch and immature. It leaves her open to being manipulated even if she is not worldly enough to see it.

I loved Kiss Me First. It is a brilliant book and it makes you think. I also found the book uplifting in a way, it shows that a life – a real one, not a virtual one – takes work, but is worth fighting for.

Easy Money Film Review & Competition

I saw Easy Money at The Hospital Club about a month ago and it is so good it has stayed with me. The film is presented by Martin Scorsese which may be the best stamp of approval a film can get, If anyone knows movies, it is Scorsese. But with backing like that a film really needs to live up to its promise. Easy Money does.

The film is beautifully shot. I really loved the cinematography.The characters also draw you in. Although some of them are not particularity nice people the director Daniél Espinosa shows the human side of everyone. There are no one-dimensional characters. Whether it is the hitman who is a single father or JW, who gets in with the wrong crowd to make money so he can impress a girl. Poor student by day, socialising with the Stockholm elite by night. This film shows there is no such thing as Easy Money as JW bites off more than he can chew after taking a seemingly easy job to fund his lifestyle and impress the upper class girl that he loves.

Joel Kinnaman who plays JW is a revelation. All the actors are good but Kinnaman is brilliant in the lead role and also has the face and charisma of a movie star. I predict big things.

Easy money is based on the book by Jens Lapidus for which the rights have been sold to over 20 countries. Unlike some adaptations, Easy Money is a film which manages to tell the story with both visual impact and a great script. This cautionary tale is brilliant. Go and see it.

JW (Joel Kinnaman) is a poor student who lives a double life within the wealthy Stockholm elite. He falls in love with an upper class girl and is soon lured into a world of crime. Jorge is a fugitive on the run from the police and the Yugoslavian mafia. His plan; import a massive cargo of coke and then disappear for good. Yugoslavian hitman Mrado is trying hard to find Jorge but his criminal life takes a turn when he is forced to take care of his young daughter. While JW starts a journey into the dark world of organized crime, he brings together the fate of all to a struggle of life and death.
