Nick Grimshaw and Olly Murs put through their paces at Perform

Nick Grimshaw, Olly Murs, football, celebrity, news, BBC Radio 1 five-a-side football match ,BBC, BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter Nick Grimshaw and English singer-songwriter Olly Murs today prepared for the match of a lifetime at Perform, the world-class human performance, sports and exercise medicine and rehabilitation centre at the heart of the St. George’s Park, the FA’s National Football Centre.

Nick and Olly, who both captained their 5 a-side-team, visited the Perform centre in preparation for their big match. They were put through their paces by leading trainers and sports and exercise medics who ensured they were in top condition when they hit the pitch.

As part of their warm-up, Nick and Olly took part in a range of pre-football training exercises. These included the Batak challenge, which tested their reactions, stamina and coordination, the Hydroworx underwater treadmill and various strength and conditioning exercises. They finished off their training by using the contrast pools – the hot and cold water pools helped reduce any muscle tightness ahead of the big game.

Lining up with Nick for his team ‘Radio Onederers’, was former Welsh player Robbie Savage and colleagues from Radio 1. Olly’s teammates in ‘Olly Hot Spurs’, included former England player David May.

Perform is part of Spire Healthcare, one of the UK’s leading private hospital groups with 38 hospitals across the UK. Perform is open to all and can provide any visitor to St. George’s Park with sports science and training facilities to help them reach their physical and mental potential and perform beyond their expectations.

St. George’s Park is the training base for 24 England teams, the home of coaching education and a hub of activity for the local community. Over 800 elite coaches will be trained and qualified each year at St. George’s Park, helping to develop and nurture future talent.

Top Of The Lake DVD Review and Competition

Top of The Lake may be a television show but the talent behind it packs a cinematic punch. This cinematic punch shows in the quality of the show. Oscar winning writer/director Jane Campion and Garth Davis have teamed up with the Oscar winning producers of The King’s Speech, Top of The Lake looks beautiful, set in New Zealand the scenery is just stunning. Add in the beautiful cinematography and you have a show that is already worth watching.

Elizabeth moss in top of the lake top of the lake Peter Mullan in top of the lake top of the lake filmed in New Zealand

The story however, is somewhat less beautiful, this is not a criticism, it is just hard hitting. Top of the Lake begins with a mystery – Tui, a 12 year old girl, walks chest deep into the freezing waters of an alpine lake in New Zealand. She is five months pregnant and won’t say who the father is. Then she disappears.

Robin Griffin is a gutsy but inexperienced detective called in to investigate. But as Robin becomes more and more obsessed with the search for Tui, she slowly begins to realise that finding Tui is tantamount to finding herself – a self she has kept well hidden.

Top of The Lake has a brilliant cast. It stars Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), David Wenham (Lord of the Rings), Peter Mullan (War Horse) and Holly Hunter (The Piano). All of the cast is amazing. Elizabeth Moss takes the lead and as the detective on the story sees parallels of her own life with the missing Tui. She unravels as the search continues but will she find herself in the end? Top of The Lake has a lot of twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is an excellent, must watch drama. Don’t miss it.

The Top Of The Lake BBC DVD is available here or on Amazon or iTunes UK

Made In Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh On Bullies & Escaping The Chelsea “Bubble”

In an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine out Sunday July 28, Millie Mackintosh, 24, reveals that she is still haunted by the bullying she suffered throughout her teens: “I was bullied to the point where I wouldn’t go to school. I was skinny, had glasses and wore braces to realign my jaw. I had full-on yellow hair after a home dye job and had really bad acne all over my forehead.”Millie Mackintosh made in chelsea

Reality star Millie, who is currently planning her September wedding to rapper Professor Green, 29, says she’s much happier now she’s relocated east with her fiancé. And she gave her strongest indication yet that she won’t be returning for the next series of the hit E4 show.

She said: “I’m not going to create a drama just to be part of it…Chelsea is a bubble and not a healthy one. It’s that Gossip Girl environment and people just don’t grow out of it.”

Also in this week’s edition, you’ll find the results of the Fabulous Beauty Awards 2013. A whopping 95,746 readers voted for their beauty must-haves. For the fourth year in a row Cheryl Cole was crowned beauty icon and readers confessed to spending on average £25 a month on beauty products.

We’re still working on a name.’ He also spoke about the wait for the birth, “I will remind him of his tardiness when he’s older as I know how long you lot have been out here.” He also complemented his wife’s looks, saying:”He’s got her looks that’s for sure!” and also joked that his son had more hair than him. Kate said that William had already changed his first nappy.

Easy Money Film Review & Competition

EASY MONEY WILL BE RELEASED IN CINEMAS NATIONWIDE 19th JULY 2013

Easy Money film

Certificate 15
Running time: 125 minutes

Director: Daniél Espinosa

Cast: Joel Kinnaman, Matias Padin Varela, Dragomir Mrsic

I saw Easy Money at The Hospital Club about a month ago and it is so good it has stayed with me. The film is presented by Martin Scorsese which may be the best stamp of approval a film can get, If anyone knows movies, it is Scorsese. But with backing like that a film really needs to live up to its promise. Easy Money does.

The film is beautifully shot. I really loved the cinematography. The characters also draw you in. Although some of them are not particularity nice people the director Daniél Espinosa shows the human side of everyone. There are no one-dimensional characters. Whether it is the hitman who is a single father or JW, who gets in with the wrong crowd to make money so he can impress a girl. Poor student by day, socialising with the Stockholm elite by night. This film shows there is no such thing as Easy Money as JW bites off more than he can chew after taking a seemingly easy job to fund his lifestyle and impress the upper class girl that he loves.

Joel Kinnaman who plays JW is a revelation. All the actors are good but Kinnaman is brilliant in the lead role and also has the face and charisma of a movie star. I predict big things.

Easy money is based on the book by Jens Lapidus for which the rights have been sold to over 20 countries. Unlike some adaptations, Easy Money is a film which manages to tell the story with both visual impact and  a great script. This cautionary tale is brilliant. Go and see it.

JW (Joel Kinnaman) is a poor student who lives a double life within the wealthy Stockholm elite. He falls in love with an upper class girl and is soon lured into a world of crime. Jorge is a fugitive on the run from the police and the Yugoslavian mafia. His plan; import a massive cargo of coke and then disappear for good. Yugoslavian hitman Mrado is trying hard to find Jorge but his criminal life takes a turn when he is forced to take care of his young daughter. While JW starts a journey into the dark world of organized crime, he brings together the fate of all to a struggle of life and death.

Frost has copies of the Easy Money book by Jens Lapidus to give away. To win just like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our newsletter then comment below saying which. Good luck!
