The Best Exercises For A Pert Bottom

Pert bottom exercises by British Military Fitness Instructor

Want a perfect bottom like Pippa Middleton? Then all you need to do is master the squat. The squat is commonly known as the “king of exercises”. It is a fantastic exercise; it targets all the muscles in the legs whilst also adding some strength and stability to the abdomen and lower back area and really targets the core. The squat also gets a large amount of upper body muscles engaged too. Here are just a few benefits to show why everyone should be including squats into their training routine.

Increase strength & power

Squatting should be one of the fundamental exercises for anyone looking to increase their strength. They have been proven to significantly increase lower body strength and power. This can have a whole range of benefits from those looking to improve sporting performance to those just looking to improve their lifestyle so that everyday tasks such as climbing stairs become easier.

Run faster

If you want to run faster, whether you are a distance runner or a sprinter, then you should be squatting. The speed at which you run is heavily influenced by your ability to apply force into the ground. To run faster, you need to apply more force. The best way to do this is to strengthen the lower body. Using squats to train the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes will allow you produce more ground reaction force. For those who are distance runners, if you increase you 1RM on a squat then you will also improve you run time. Think of it this way. If you weight 70kg and have 1RM back squat of 70kg then you are going to have to recruit more motor units in order to propel yourself forward when running compared to someone who also weights 70kg but has 1RM on a squat of 120kg.

Increase muscle size

Squats are a great way to increase size of muscle tissue, not only in them legs but all over the human body. Developing muscle mass heavily relies on hormonal responses from exercise. Testosterone and growth hormone are two of the major muscle building hormones in the body. Squatting heavy and engaging the large muscles around the hips will mean you begin to produce huge amounts of testosterone. This release will also have a positive impact of other muscles as it flows through the blood stream. Combining this with some lighter load and higher reps will mean you start to feel a burning sensation within the legs, this burning sensation come from the build up of lactate and lactic acid within the muscle. When the body starts to get a build up of lactic acid you subsequently get a release of growth hormone. Theism just like testosterone is fantastic for this individuals looking to gain some muscle mass.

Torch calories and body fat

I want you to try something for me. After completing a thorough warm up, walk into a squat rack, load the bar with what is the heaviest amount of load you can possibly lift for 15 reps. Complete 4-5 sets of 15 reps whilst only taking around 60seconds rest between these sets and tell me how you feel. I guess you are going to feel extremely worn out and needing to sit down for a few mins ‘to catch your breath’. Completing this type of session will make the body move away from its safe environment of homeostasis and enter into EPOC (Excess Post Oxygen Consumption) meaning the body will need to take on additional oxygen to help you recover. This is accompanied by elevated consumption of fuels, particularly from fat stores. Using a tabata protocol for squatting (20secs all out / 10secs rest x 8) has been shown to elevate EPOC for up to 48 hours post exercise.

Here are list of squat variation exercises you can try to help you. Also included is a strength continuum chart to help you ensure you are working at the correct intensity, with the correct load, at the correct pace and with adequate amounts of rest depending on what you goal is.

TULISA HAS THE X FACTOR, KATE AND HARRY REIGN, VIC PENDLETON GOES FOR GOLD AND BIEBER LOSES HIS GRIP AS BING RELEASES ITS UK MOST-SEARCHED LISTS FOR 2012

Bing UK searches show 2012 was a year in which Britons clamoured to see more (literally) of their favourite people than ever before. The search engine today releases its most-searched lists, based on the aggregation of billions of search queries conducted by Brits on Bing.com this year.

Singer Tulisa Contostavlos shows she has the X Factor as the UK’s most searched person in 2012, beating 2011 winner Justin Bieber, who dropped to fifth place this year. And while Tulisa’s singing career and role as X Factor judge no doubt inspired many of these searches, the leak of a certain video in March might also have played a part.

It was also a big year for 2012’s second-most-searched person, Kate Middleton, with not just the Royal Wedding but some unauthorised holiday snaps sending people online in their droves to find out more. Prince Harry also got people searching after his right royal Vegas antics. The third in line to the throne was the UK’s sixth most-searched person, behind Cheryl Cole, the late Whitney Houston and Justin Bieber.

Robert Pattinson, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and disgraced TV presenter Jimmy Savile round out the top 10.

In the afterglow of the Games, it’s to be expected that Olympics and London 2012 were the most-searched events of 2012, with Olympians leading the most-searched sports stars list. Gold-winning cyclist and Strictly Come Dancing star Victoria Pendleton raced to the top, followed by sprinter Usain Bolt and gold medallist tennis star Andy Murray. Stricken footballer Fabrice Muamba was the fourth most searched sportsperson, with heptathlete Jessica Ennis in fifth place.

Most-searched celebrity couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart kept Britons guessing with their on-again, off-again romance this year, but their new movie, Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, could only muster fifth place in the most-searched movies list, with the top spot taken out by The Avengers. EastEnders beat out reality TV rivals Big Brother and X Factor to become 2012’s most searched TV show.

Bing UK Director of Search Dave Coplin says: “Every year, the Bing search results give us a unique insight into what and who is top of mind for Brits. It’s always fascinating to see which celebrities have had the biggest impact on Britons throughout the year, and of course it’s no surprise to see that the 2012 Olympics and Olympians have captured our hearts and minds after such a golden summer.”

Frost's Review of 2011

2011 was an eventful political year, with the Arab Spring, phone Hacking and the death of more than one tyrant. On the flip side, it was also a year of wedding fever, Prince William finally made an honest women of Kate Middleton on April 29. Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, Lily Allen and Sam Cooper (she also announced her pregnancy), Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig, Prince Albert and Charlotte, Zara Phillips and Mark Tindall and Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell all tied the knot. Kim Kardashian got married too, but so briefly it is barely worth mentioning.

There was tragedy when Japan was struck by an record 9.0-magnitude earthquake and a tsunami. Followed by nuclear disaster at Fukushima, which is still being cleared up by brave workers, at serious risk to their own health.

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were acquitted of the murder of Meredith Kercher.

In August London burned as riots spread all over England, people died, lost their homes and taxpayers were left with a bill of over 100 million.

The Arab Spring started when 26-year-old vegetable seller Mohamed Bouazizi. set himself on fire in protest in a Tunisian marketplace on December 17th 2010. It lead to leaders all over the Arab world standing down including Hosni Mubarak (Egypt), Tunisia’s Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, and the death of Gaddafi in October.

Silvio Berlusconi also finally stepped down.

Osama Bin Laden was killed ten years after 9/11.

The press went mad over Pippa Middleton’s bottom. As did PR companies.

Super Injunctions were the buzzword of the year, but the name of the footballer came out after he was named by multiple people on Twitter. The film star who slept with the same prostitute as Wayne Rooney, however, got away with it. Our article on it was one of our most popular of the year, getting over 14,000 hits in a matter of hours

Borders book store closed down, as did the Space Shuttle Programme and Harry Potter ended after a decade.

The Iraqi war ended in December. A date set by the Bush administration.

Liam Fox lost his job.

The Phone Hacking scandal ran and ran.

Charlie Sheen lost it, but bounced back.

Aung San Suu Kyi was finally released from house arrest.

Frost’s Politician of the year is the people of Libya.

Anders Behring Breivik went on an murderous rampage in Norway on the Island of Utoya, leaving over 80 people dead and many more injured. Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg called the attack a “national tragedy” and the worst atrocity in Norway since World War II. Stoltenberg further vowed that the attack would not hurt Norwegian democracy, and said the proper answer to the violence was “more democracy, more openness, but not naivety”. In his speech at the memorial service on 24 July 2011, he said what a proper reaction would be: “No one has said it better than the AUF girl who was interviewed by CNN: ‘If one man can show so much hate, think how much love we could show, standing together.’

The end of Harry Potter.

Frost started a campaign to end Prescription charges in England, the only place in the so called ‘United’ Kingdom still paying them.

Frost Women of the year: Kate Middleton. After ten years and two break-ups, Catherine Elizabeth Middleton finally married her Prince Charming. Their wedding was watched by more people than 20 million people and the new Duchess of Cambridge has been wowing press and public alike with her style, charm and poise.

Man of the year: Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs died too young, aged 56, after a long battle with cancer. He changed the world with his vision and business acumen and when he died the outpouring of grief would rival that of Princess Diana. A true loss of a visionary man.

Most inspirational person: Eva Schloss. Eva survived the holocaust. She lost her father and her brother, her mother also survived and went on to marry Otto Frank and Eva became Anne Frank’s step-sister. She is truly the most inspirational women I have ever met. Cee Lo Green wants to date Pippa Middleton.

Cee Lo Green wants to date Pippa Middleton.

The ‘Forget You’ hitmaker admits he has become more “selective” as his fame has increased and thinks he is at a point where he could “f**k up” his career if he wasn’t fussy about who he dates.

Speaking about how fame has changed him, he said: “This is going to be a strange comparison, but I think you’ll get it. As men, when we become famous, we become as particular as pretty women. So, these days I’m more selective.

“You learn that you can’t go to every party you’re invited to if you expect to last. Plus, for me to f**k up and do something stupid would be the greatest insult to all the art that I’ve accomplished, so I can’t be screwing around with just anyone now.

“I’ve got to go for a duchess or something. I’ve got to aim for … what’s her name? Pippa? Piper?”

Asked if he meant Pippa Middleton – the sister of Duchess Catherine, the wife of Prince William – he told Shortlist magazine: “Yeah. I’ve got to go for Pippa, man. She’s gorgeous. I like her.”

Despite his success, the singer also believes he is still “anti-establishment” because he doesn’t feel like he fits in with other musicians.

He explained: “A song called ‘F**k You’ still has a little attitude, right?  That’s still authentic and anti-establishment, maybe more so because it was such a big hit, even with that title. But I’ll always be anti-establishment because I’ve never felt like I belong. You don’t wear a feathered suit to the Grammys to fit in.”

Pippa Middleton Splits From Boyfriend Alex Loudon.

27 year old Pippa Middleton has reportedly split from her boyfriend, former England cricketer and businessman Alex Loudon. Pippa has not been seen with Alex in public since the Royal Wedding in April.

“It is common knowledge in their close circle of friends that Pippa and Alex have recently split up,” a source told the Sunday Times. However, Pippa was recently seen holidaying in Madrid with her ex-boyfriend and close friend George Percy, son of the Duke of Northumberland.

They were also spotted at the French Open in Paris and dining out at some restaurants in London. Pippa and George have known each other for ten years and met at Edinburgh University, where they became a couple.

KATE MIDDLETON’S SHOLA DRESS SET TO SPARK BIDDING WAR AT STAR-STUDDED FASHION FUNDRAISER

‘Trust in Fashion’ event offers fashionistas first chance to get their hands on the ‘high street’ dress that sparked a fashion frenzy

Within hours of the Duchess of Cambridge stepping out in the chic Shola taupe creation to meet the Obamas at Buckingham Palace the dress flew off the rails at Reiss stores across the UK with fashion fans crashing the online store as they clamoured to get hold of the latest ‘must have’ item.

The Reiss website was seemingly down for a few hours as shoppers surged to purchase the stylish number which retails at £175 and remains ‘Out of Stock’ due to extraordinary customer demand.

The clothing retailer has confirmed it will be back in stock, but is likely to take five to six weeks before it arrives…a lifetime in the world of fashion! Even then, the dress will be sold on a first come first served basis. However, those desperate to get their hands on one sooner can stake their claim at a fashion fundraiser in a few weeks.

Reiss, who has recently enjoyed a surge in sales thanks to the Princess’ penchant for the high-street brand, has donated two of Kate’s signature dresses to an exclusive charity auction, raising money for the much-loved children’s charity Rainbow Trust whose carers help families of children battling a life threatening or terminal illness.

Both the Shola dress and the white ‘Nannette’ dress – as worn in her official engagement photos – will be auctioned as a joint lot at a VIP fashion show, Trust in Fashion, to be co-hosted by fashion icon Sadie Frost on Wednesday 29th June at London’s stunning One Mayfair.

Celebrities, top models and the cream of the fashion industry are set to turn out in force for the event, which has been created by leading names from the world of fashion to celebrate Rainbow Trust’s 25th Anniversary.
The two day extravaganza in association with Marie Claire & Storm includes a VIP evening on June 29th – featuring an exclusive my-wardrobe.com catwalk show and auction – and followed by a sample sale on June 30th crammed full of top brands at amazing prices and attended by Storm’s top model scouts searching for the next new face.
Speaking about the event, mother-of-four Sadie Frost said: “I am incredibly excited to be involved with this event and raising money for such a worthwhile cause.

“It has to be every parent’s worst nightmare to find out their child is seriously ill and it is something most of us can’t even begin to imagine, which must make fundraising for such causes really difficult, as many people just want to push it away.

“Given the resource Rainbow could help so many more and I am pleased to be part of an event aimed at raising funds for this charity which hopes one day all families in need will have access to a Rainbow carer.”
The highlight of the VIP launch event will be a my-wardrobe.com catwalk show produced by Lesley Goring, with looks styled by Marie Claire Fashion Editors Holly Welch and Lucia Debrieux. Featuring models from the world famous Storm, the exclusive evening will be co-hosted by Sadie Frost and Marie Claire Editor in Chief, and Rainbow Trust Patron, Trish Halpin.
The catwalk show will be followed by an exclusive auction of fashion pieces from some of the world’s leading fashion houses, including a ‘Kate Moss for Longchamp’ handbag signed by Kate Moss herself, a Modalu ‘Pippa’ bag, named in honour Kate’s sister who always carries one, together with couture dresses, bags, shoes and jewellery from the likes of Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Alberta Ferretti, Temperley London, Jenny Packham, Salvatore Ferragamo, Stella McCartney, Katherine Elizabeth Millinery, Marni, Mulberry, Mary Katrantzou, Stefanel and Erdem.

The two day event will raise vital funds for the charity which provides a lifeline to families facing the unimaginable ordeal of caring for a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Rainbow Trust’s family support workers join families in their own homes to provide consistent, practical and emotional support during, what many Rainbow families describe as, their darkest hours. Rainbow carers are contactable 24 hours a day for families in crisis from diagnosis, through treatment and even after bereavement.

You can buy tickets for the event at www.trustinfashion.org. For all the latest updates on what has been donated follow us @TrustInFashion on Twitter.
