Is Meghain Trainer a Hypocrite When It Comes To Body Shaming & Loving Yourself?

Meghain Trainer, skinny women, body shaming, Meghain Trainer all about that bass song is body shaming skinny women, mean, rude,I am going to start this piece with a confession: I hate that ‘All About The Bass’ song. Okay it’s catchy and it has a good beat, but I hate the lyrics. And I am not the only one. Plenty of ‘stick-figure…Barbie doll’s‘ as Meghain puts it in her song also hate the lyrics. I have always found it ironic that she became famous for no photo-shopping and loving your body due to that song. She says it is wrong to body shame someone because of their size, but that entire song is rude to slim women. Yes, love yourself Meghain but don’t do it by dragging other women down and attacking their size. ‘Stick figure’ is offensive and so is implying that men need a little something to hold onto. Slim women have something for their men to hold onto. They are not made of air.

The real #metoo video is finally up! Missed that bass. Thank you everyone for the support đź’™

Now Meghain is complaining that she was photo-shopped in her new music video. She then demanded that the un-edited version was released instead. Well good for her. Some say the entire thing is a publicity stunt. It may be, but I am a huge fan of more diversity when it comes to body shape. We do need more body shapes in the media. Not everyone is tall and skinny. But that doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with woman that are. Maybe Meghain should take note. In All About The Bass she wanted to ‘Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches’ and then said she was joking, but we all know that people sometimes pretend they are joking to soften what they are really saying. Let’s be more inclusive to every woman Meghain, not just the ones that look like you.

Patricia Arquette’s Oscar Speech Is a Thing of Beauty | Watch Now

Patricia Arquette , speech, feminism, oscar speech, equal pay, Winner of Best Actress In A Supporting Role Oscar 2015Patricia Arquette’s kick ass Oscar Speech took over the internet, and rightly so. While political statements are generally frowned upon at the Academy Awards, Arquette won the hearts of people all over the world with her demand for equal pay for women. The best reaction came from Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez, both of whom nearly fell off their seats with glee. Equal pay for women in Hollywood has been a widely debated topic since the Sony hacks. I hope that Arquette’s speech makes a difference, she has at least raised awareness to billions of people, and for that she is amazing.

She also said earlier this year that she paid her babysitter and dog walker more money than she made on Boyhood. She isn’t the only one to speak out. Hilary Swank said: “My male counterpart will get paid ten times more than me — ten times. Not double, but ten times for the same job. We only have this much left for the female actress. I mean, there’s two genders on this earth. Both are compelling, interesting, diverse, wonderful in all their own separate ways. And yet there’s an influx of male roles, and there’s just not for women.”

While Amy Pascal has said that the problem is that women accept less money than men it is not as simple as that. Pascal herself said that there are less roles for women so women are more likely to work for less just to have a job. This is a sad state of affairs that must change. Arquette has started the battle call, we must all follow through.

Madonna’s Still Got It Watch The Video That Proves It

Madonna has been awesome since 1982 and she still shows no sign up slowing down. Her performance of Living For Love at the Grammys left all young pretenders in the dust. She may get a lot of ageist comments for being 56 but this proves all of her critics wrong. The video is the isolated vocals of her performance, no auto-tune. Her six-minute performance is amazing. If you don’t believe Madonna is still at the top of her game then watch and learn.

Reporter Compliments Rashida Jones On Her Tan “I’m Ethnic” She Responds

In what has got to be one of the most awkward interviews ever, a reporter decided not to use common sense, decorum or even background research when she complimented biracial actress Rashida Jones on her “tan”.

Rashida took it in her stride when TNT correspondent Danielle Demski said to her, “You look amazing — gorgeous! You look like you’ve just come off an island or something. You’re very tan, very tropical.” The actress was walking the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet and after giving a laugh she replied, “I mean, you know, I’m ethnic.”

Demski laughed after hearing the response and said to camera: “It’s just being ethnic. That’s what it is.”

Rashida’s father is the African-American record producer Quincy Jones, and her mother is white actress Peggy Lipton.
